HAA Creative Minds (HAA CM) is an on-line publication started in 2009, where every creative mind from the Havyaka community can showcase their talents. Previously, this publication was called Creative Minds Chitra Katha or in short, CMCK. This is one of the major youth lead activities of Havyaka Association of Americas. The editors of the HAA CM are youth from the HAA community and they meet periodically to efficiently bring out the publications in time. These youth are mentored by adult mentors. The HAA CM publications are issued once in approximately four months.

There are no age restrictions for submitting one’s creative work for publication in HAA CM and all age groups, globally are encouraged to exhibit their best talent. There are various categories of exhibits in the publication to showcase one’s talent, such as Art & Photography, Creative STEM, Performing Arts, English Literature, Kannada Literature, Trip Reflections, Book Reviews, Recipes and Community News. These are all the existing exhibit categories, but the youth editors have the liberty to add more categories if any of the submission does not fit in the above categories. HAA CM receives articles and other submissions from North American and Indian Havyakas.

The past youth editors have expressed their happiness about the rewarding experience by participating in HAA CM activities. This voluntary participation has helped them in college admissions or in obtaining summer jobs. The hard work of the editors and mentors will be successful only if people read or view the publication. In addition to encouraging all age groups to submit their creative works the HAA CM team requests all to read the publications and to share with friends so that this online platform will be a fun-filled activity for all.
